Values + Behavior = Culture

In order to build a culture in which people feel like they belong and have a desire to advance the cause of the organization, leaders must behave in ways that are consistent with clearly stated values and beliefs. Simply put, as leaders, we can’t expect our people to treat each other and our customers in a way that reflects our ideals and principles if we are not treating them the same way.

Leaders will learn to identify and seize the daily opportunities to show up consistently with the organization’s values and beliefs, resulting in a feeling of trust and growing loyalty within the team. The collection of these opportunities, called Defining Moments, are what create a culture. 

 

IN THIS WORKSHOP, YOU WILL

  • Identify your team’s Defining Moments.
     
  • Explore the positive and inspiring leadership behaviors that should be exhibited during each Defining Moment.
     
  • Discuss the difference between leadership and management, and when it’s appropriate to use both.
